The two week induction provides individuals with specific industry prescribed training elements. Successful completion of the course provides graduates with all the necessary training required to work for QuestCare as a Support Worker in Disability ACT (DACT) houses and in the broader community services sector. The course is free to eligible applicants and successful graduates are guaranteed employment with QuestCare.
Duties which QuestCare Support Workers are expected to perform vary greatly, however may include:
  • Personal Care
  • Medication Administration
  • Client Transportation
  • Behavior Management
  • Cooking
  • Cleaning and household maintenance
  • Supporting participants in social participation activities
QuestCare Support Workers can work part-time or full time hours, with morning, afternoon, sleepover and night shifts available. Previous experience is highly regarded and candidates must:
  • Have a caring attitude
  • Hold an Australian driver’s license
  • Hold an ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Be able to pass an English literacy test
  • Be medically fit to undertake the duties of a Support Worker
