Frequently Asked Questions

What services do QuestCare provide?

QuestCare provides support services to NDIS participants, frail and aged and any other individuals requiring support. Call us to  discuss  your individual needs.

Who can use QuestCare services?

Anyone. We provide care and support staff to individuals as well as organisations. We can provide a once-off service, or regular staffing.

Is there a minimum shift length?

The minimum shift length is one hour. QuestCare can provide care for less than one hour, but we will charge you for the hour.

What is the minimum shift length?

The minimum shift length is two hours, as this is the minimum engagement period under the award.

What times are staff available?

Our staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our staff can do both night shifts and ‘sleepovers’ (where the staff member is asleep, but is available in case help is needed during the night).
Our Case Manages will ask you when and for how long you need staff and will then confirm shift times to suit your request.

Can you provide consistent Support Staff?

QuestCare will endeavor to ensure you have consistent staff. We try to match you with a Support Worker and if you are both satisfied we will then confirm ongoing shifts for you with that worker.

I need a support worker today. Is that enough notice?

Yes, we can provide same-day service. We prefer at least two hours notice, however we are also happy to fill ASAP services, providing there are staff available.

What areas do you provide service to?

We can provide staff to anywhere in the ACT. We also service the surrounding regions, such as Queanbeyan. If you are unsure if we service your area, you can call or email the office to check.

Are you able to provide transport?

Yes, our staff often transport clients to doctors appointments, activities, shopping errands and other requests. All staff hold an Australian drivers licence, and can either use a provided vehicle or their own vehicle (provided it is suitable for the client). If staff are required to use their own vehicle, a mileage fee will apply.

Do you provide 24/7 support/what if I need to contact you outside of hours?

Yes. Our on-call number is available from 4.30pm Monday – Friday, Weekends and public holidays. Further, there is always one of our senior managers available to assist if the emergency requires this.

Can I meet a Support Worker before they start working with me?

Yes and we encourage this to ensure you get a good match. QuestCare will charge you for ‘meet & greets’ and ‘buddy shifts’.

How much does it cost?

QuestCare adheres to the NDIS price guide. Fees are charged in line with the guidelines and costs will vary depending on the time of day, weekend or public holidays. You can view the NDIS price guide here https://www.ndis.gov.au/providers/pricing-arrangements
